Can you ride the Suzuki GSX-8S on an A2 licence?
Yes, you can ride the Suzuki GSX-8S (2023 onwards) on an A2 motorbike licence. However, you will need to fit a restrictor kit to reduce its power output and make it A2 licence compliant!
Suzuki GSX-8S (2023 onwards)
The Suzuki GSX-8S is the the company’s first proper all-rounder since the SV650, which is getting a little dated by today’s standards. The GSX-8S, on the other hand, comes with all the modern features you will find on its biggest competitors, the Yamaha MT-07 and Honda CB750 Hornet.
If you are a fan of sporty looking naked motorcycles, you will absolutely love this bike. It features a futuristic design with lots of aggressive lines and nice details. There is only one downside. The exhaust is pretty small compared to most other bikes, which is a slight disappointment.
In terms of equipment, the Suzuki GSX-8S doesn’t disappoint. It comes with an easy-to-read TFT dash, rider modes, quick-shifter, ABS, and traction control as standard. The build quality is excellent, but some of the metal finishes might seem a little too basic. The engine is all new, but should be reliable in the long run.
Without a doubt, the Suzuki GSX-8S is a fantastic all-around motorcycle that can be recommended to all A2 licence holders. It looks good, feels great on the road and comes with a lot of useful features that will give you a pleasant riding experience.
A2 Licence Compliance
The Suzuki GSX-8S is a 776cc A2-friendly standard bike. It has a power output of 61 kW (82 bhp), which exceeds the 35 kW (47 bhp) limit needed for an A2 licence. The bike has to be restricted by at least 42.6% to become A2 licence compliant.
You will need a restrictor to ride the Suzuki GSX-8S on an A2 motorbike licence. See the restrictor kits section to check out what restrictors are available for the Suzuki GSX-8S.
