Can you ride the Ducati Hypermotard 1100 on an A2 licence?

The Ducati Hypermotard 1100 is considered to be the very first motorcycle in the sub-category of powerful street-oriented dual-sport bikes. The machine is unique in many different aspects and it is almost impossible to mistake it for any other motorcycle.

Apart from the 1078cc version, there is also a smaller version of this bike available called the Hypermotard 796. Both of these bikes look almost identical, however the Hypermotard 1100 is a little heavier and it has a slightly higher seat position.

Feature-wise, the Ducati Hypermotard 1100 is equipped with a multi-functional LCD dash, flip-out mirrors and a grab rail. Other than that, you can also buy the Hypermotard S version that comes with some additional goodies such as an Ohlins rear shock, Marchesini wheels and high-quality Brembo brakes.

A2 Licence Compliance

The Ducati Hypermotard 1100 is a 1078cc A2-friendly supermoto bike. It has a power output of 66 kW (90 bhp), which exceeds the 35 kW (47 bhp) limit needed for an A2 licence. The bike has to be restricted by at least 46.9% to become A2 licence compliant.
